Instructions

(1) After measuring the size, use a strong hoof to cut the horny edge of the hoof and the tip of the hoof. The distance between the hoof tip and the hoof crown skin and hoof angle is about 7.6 cm, the hoof tip is 0.5 cm higher than the hoof bottom, and the hoof bottom is at a 45 degree angle to the longitudinal side of the hoof. (2) Remove the contamination at the bottom of the hoof and check for ulcers and cavities at the bottom of the hoof. Usually the length of the medial toe and the shape of the hoof are better, and the bottom of the hoof is thinner, so it is first flattened according to the standard size, and then the lateral toe is repaired with the inner toe as the standard. If the lateral toe is not sick, the lateral toe can be repaired to a greater weight than the medial toe to reduce the weight of the hoof and the middle part of the hoof, and the hind limbs stand normally. If there is a disease such as ulcer on the lateral hoof, proceed to the next step.

(3) If the outer hoof is sick, the horny horn should be repaired more, so that the toe is raised, the weight is reduced, and the live tissue is prevented from being contused and bleeding. The contact between the affected toe and the ground is reduced, making it easier to maintain a dry state, promoting new keratin formation and keratin hardening, and accelerating recovery. If the hoof has an ulcer, the ulcer should be cleaned, exposed to live tissue, and allowed to recover on its own. (4) The middle hoof bow is trimmed into a half moon shape.

(5) Repair the loose keratin around the bottom of the hoof, remove the surface exudate, and do not damage the live meat layer. If there is inflammation at the fork, it can be rubbed with iodine; there is ulceration in the swell, and 10% chlortetracycline can be rubbed. Usually the forefoot hoof only needs to correct the hoof tip with a forceps or a rasp.
