Main points of feeding and management techniques for stable production of dairy cows
1. Feed
The feed mix should be diversified. There are three meals a day. The concentrate should be mainly cornmeal, bean cake, cottonseed cake, and bran, and sufficient drinking water should be provided.
Ensuring green feed The lack of green feed in winter and spring, grass and crop stalks can be chopped up to make silage, and appropriate carrots are used to keep cows green throughout the year.
2. Management
Regularly comb the body and trim the hoof
Brushing the cow body regularly every day can remove the dust on the cow body, promote the blood circulation of the cow body, accelerate the metabolism, strengthen the physical fitness, and promote the milk cow to produce more milk.
Regular milking
Regular milking can effectively prevent the occurrence of mastitis in dairy cows, promote milk secretion of dairy cows, and increase milk production of dairy cows. It is generally advisable to express milk once every 8 hours.
Strengthen postpartum management of dairy cows
After the calf is born, mother and child are separated and reared artificially. In order to prevent cows from getting sick after giving birth, depending on the cow's body condition, intramuscular injection of appropriate amount of houttuynia cordata, penicillin, sulfonamides and other antibacterial and anti-inflammatory drugs can prevent the occurrence of obstetric diseases.
Good way to increase milk
Some cows postpartum have insufficient udders and have little or no milk secretion. The cows half an hour postpartum should be fed with bran salt and brown sugar porridge. Production method: bran 0.5 kg, salt 40-50 g, brown sugar 0.5-1.0 kg, 10-15 kg of warm water, mix well, and feed at once.
Pay attention to hygiene and keep healthy Cows like dry and cool environmental conditions, therefore, keep the cowshed clean, hygienic and dry.
Observe the cow's activity carefully. Before feeding the cow, carefully observe the cow's eating, defecation and daily activities. If any abnormality is found, make adjustments in time and ask the veterinarian for diagnosis and treatment.
